 I will discuss the current threats to academic freedom and how academics, students, and administrators should respond.

This talk will question the traditional framing of civil-military relations as a tension between liberal civil society and the authoritarian military. I will propose conceiving of it instead as part of the broader relationship between liberal civil society and care.
